Egyptian fresh strawberry season shows positive start, says EGYFARM

Egypt’s fresh strawberry season is showing a positive development this year, supported by favorable climatic conditions and steady export demand, according to EGYFARM, an Egyptian export company active in both fresh and frozen fruit and vegetables.

The current strawberry season is characterized by good firmness, uniform sizing, and strong shelf life, making Egyptian strawberries suitable for a wide range of international markets.

Egypt’s winter climate remains a key advantage for strawberry production. Moderate temperatures, high sunlight hours, and relatively low humidity contribute to consistent color, balanced sweetness, and improved post-harvest performance.

These conditions allow Egyptian exporters to supply strawberries during early market windows, when availability from competing origins is still limited.

While fresh strawberries remain a key product during the season, EGYFARM operates across a broader export portfolio, supplying fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables to international markets.

“As an export company, our role goes beyond a single product or category,” says Mr. Mohamed Fouad, CEO of EGYFARM.

“We work with different product lines, including fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables, to meet the varying needs of our customers across markets.”

The company works closely with approved growers, freezing facilities, and packing stations to ensure compliance with market specifications and quality standards.

According to EGYFARM, demand remains stable across several destinations, supported by Egypt’s logistical advantages and established export routes.

“Buyers are looking for reliability across both fresh and frozen programs,” Mr. Fouad says.

“Our focus is on consistency, proper cold chain management, and long-term cooperation with our clients.”

Season outlook

With current weather conditions remaining favorable, the Egyptian strawberry season is expected to continue steadily in the coming weeks. Exporters such as EGYFARM see continued opportunities not only for fresh strawberries, but also across a wider range of fresh and frozen fruit and vegetable products.
