The export season for fresh Egyptian strawberries has begun. As expected, prices have risen and even doubled compared to the start of the previous season. MR mohamed foaad. CEO at EGYFARM, explains the reasons.

The Egyptian strawberry season started now.
The sector continues to suffer from climatic and economic factors, which have a particular impact on fresh strawberries.

MR mohamed foaad. CEO of EGYFARM, comments : “this season, there will be less volume of fresh strawberries from Egypt. The area under cultivation has shrunk, and we’ve also received fewer plants. We’ve had great difficulty in obtaining quality plants. All these factors, combined with climate change, mean that there will be less volume.”

And Says also all our efforts result in excellent quality fruit that is in great demand. We EGYFARM produce the most popular varieties on the market, such as Sweet Sensation, The well-recognized Fortuna and Festival varieties. These varieties are tasty, have a good aroma

MR.foaad reassures, “If we are forced to increase our production costs and our prices, it’s to be able to continue to guarantee the best quality. This season’s prices are justified by our top-quality strawberries, which meet customers’ needs in terms of size, taste and food safety”.

concludes, “Once the fresh strawberry season comes to an end in February, EGYFARM well be starting another job of no less importance, which is exporting frozen strawberries.
