The start of the orange and mandarin season in Egypt
MR.Mohamed Foaad Ceo of EGYFARM for export and tranding : announced that the season will start on December 1, marking the departure of the first shipments. EGYFARM is preparing for an exceptional orange season, promising stable production with an increase over last year. Favorable weather conditions have led to an abundance of high-quality oranges and increased sizes compared to the previous season. The current fluctuations between night and day temperatures, with cold nights and increased temperature differences, have created ideal conditions for our oranges.”
Egypt has become the world’s leading supplier and exporter of oranges by volume. We EGYFARM take great pride in enhancing Egypt’s reputation as a top producer of high-quality citrus. From the grove to the port, every orange is handled with the utmost care, ensuring they reach you in the best possible condition.
Mr. Foaad explains Egypt’s climate and soil are ideal for our citrus trees to bear consistent unblemished fruit. Egyptian oranges are in high demand due to the relative low cost and high quality.
Egypt enjoys a warm climate, reliable sources of water, and swathes of exceptionally fertile soil. The country’s temperate climate also facilitates two complementary growing seasons in summer and winter, giving El Marwa a competitive advantage over other producers in our market.
Navel Oranges are one of the most produced and exported fruit that Egypt is famous for, what makes Egyptian oranges required isn’t only because of the heavy production but also for their unique sweet taste, color, and sizes; thanks to Egypt’s weather that makes Egyptian crops unique and well grown.
MR:Foaad is very positive on the outlook of this year’s orange and mandarin season. “Egyptian orange prices are currently competitive.
With increasing demand and production, prices are expected to remain stable or even slightly increase. The market is likely to witness a strong performance throughout the season.
MR.Foaad: EGYFARM care about quality control and supply chain management more than the quantity of production
